Selling your car to a dealership could be an additional choice. But if you actually think about it, unless you are a true specialist in automobiles, they will constantly try to outsmart you on the price. After all, that is the core of their company strategy. The same is true of trade-ins; this is especially true if the dealership sells vehicles of a different make than the one you traded in.

You might be without a car for several weeks and yet have no guarantee of a sale if you decide to let a dealer exhibit your automobile in his showroom. 

• Avoid scams by acting locally or paying with PayPal
• Never pay with Western Union, Moneygram or other anonymous payment services
• Don't buy or sell outside of your country. Don't accept cashier cheques from outside your country
