Poonhill Trek is an ideal easy trek for some fantastic views of the snow capped Himalayas especially for those people limited to time. There are several old villages and hamlets dotted along this trail with some fantastic rhododendron forests and crystal clear rivers to enjoy.The region is easily reached, a one hour car drive from Pokhara the trek begins.It is the most popular trek in Nepal due to its outstanding beauty and relative accessibility. The area is more developed than other trekking routes, one advantage of this is accommodation and facilities are better. Most of the lodges have good facilities, hot showers and good food. Local life and tradition however is still very much in evidence and you will have plenty of time to interact with the local people.
