The main function of an RMC plant is to produce ready-mix concrete, which is in fact a mixture of water, cement, sand along with aggregates. There are many national players of RMC plants in India. 1) Batching – The evaluated raw materials are transported to the plant by trucks as well as stored in stockpiles. After that from there, they are then fed into electronic weigh hoppers which measure the exact amount required for every batch.
2) Mixing – The raw materials are united using a sequence of rotating paddles within a horizontal drum mixer. As the paddles switch, they lift and flip the material over itself till it reaches an even uniformity. This process typically consumes between 45 seconds and 4 minutes to finish.
3) Delivery – The completed product is liquidated from the bottom of the mixer inside the waiting truck chutes. It is at that time transported to the job site in 1-2 hours while still agitating on the drum.
