“What is numerology?”

What is Numerology?

Numerology (also known as Numerology) is a system of studying the relationship between numbers and life events, as well as the influence of numbers on personality, destiny, and life situations. According to numerology, each number carries a unique energy and frequency, and can affect different aspects of life.

Numerology is mainly based on numbers calculated from a person's name and date of birth. These numbers are classified into "Master Numbers" (Life Path Number), "Destiny Number", "Soul Urge Number", etc., each number representing a characteristic or trend in that person's life.

All systems used to interpret numerology

1. Pythagorean System (Pythagorean Numerology System)

Description: This is the most popular and widely used numerology system. It is based on an alphabet with numerical values from 1 to 9, which are assigned to the letters in a person's first and last name. Each letter in the name will be converted to a number, and these numbers will be added together to calculate the main numbers such as the Master Number, Destiny Number, and Soul Number.

Value table:

A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=6, G=7, H=8, I=9, J=1, K=2, L=3, M=4, N=5, O=6, P=7, Q=8, R=9, S=1, T=2, U=3, V=4, W=5, X=6, Y=7, Z=8.

Application: This method is mainly used to calculate master numbers, destiny numbers, soul numbers, and other symbolic numbers in life.

2. Chaldean system (Chaldean numerology system)

Description: This system originated from ancient Babylonian civilization and is different from the Pythagorean system. In the Chaldean system, letters are assigned different numerological values, from 1 to 8 (without the number 9). This method is said to have a higher power and accuracy in analyzing numbers related to a person's name and date of birth.

Value table:

A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, E=5, F=8, G=3, H=5, I=1, J=1, K=2, L=3, M=4, N=5, O=7, P=8, Q=1, R=2, S=3, T=4, U=6, V=6, W=6, X=5, Y=1, Z=7.

Application: This system is often used to calculate Destiny Number, Soul Number, Personality Number, and Symbol Number in detailed life analysis.

3. Kabbalah Numerology

Description: Kabbalah is a numerology system that originated in the Jewish mystical tradition, and it involves the use of numbers to decipher the universe and understand oneself. Kabbalah uses Hebrew letters and their associated numbers to analyze the spiritual, physical, and mental aspects of a person. This system is less popular but has a large following because of its profound mystical and spiritual nature.

Value table: Hebrew letters are assigned to different numbers, from 1 to 9. The calculation varies depending on how it is perceived and applied.

Application: This system is mainly used in mystical and spiritual studies, and is sometimes combined with ancient knowledge to explain human destiny.

4. Abjad Numerology

Description: The Abjad system is an ancient method of numerology used in Arabic culture. In this system, letters of the Arabic alphabet are assigned numbers, and these numbers are used to analyze names, words, and life events.

Value table: Letters of the Arabic alphabet (which can consist of 28 to 30 characters depending on the method) are assigned numerological values.

Applications: This method can be used in fields such as astronomy, name analysis, and even in predictions related to important events in a person's life.

Pseudoscience

Skeptics of numerology argue that numbers have no mystical significance and cannot, in and of themselves, influence a person’s life. Skeptics therefore regard numerology as a form of superstition and a pseudoscience that uses numbers to give the subject an air of scientific authority.

At least two studies have investigated claims about numerology, both of which have yielded negative results: one in the UK in 1993, and one in Israel in 2012. The UK experiment involved 96 people and found no correlation between the number 7 and self-reported psychic abilities. The Israeli experiment involved a professional numerologist and 200 participants, and was designed to test the validity of numerology in diagnosing learning disabilities, such as dyslexia and ADHD, and autism. The experiment was repeated twice and still yielded negative results.
