NEET UG 2025 (National Eligibility cum admission Test – Undergraduate) is the most significant national admission test in India for aspiring medical and dental students. For admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, veterinary, and other allied medical programs at both public and private universities in India, NEET UG is the exclusive entrance exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts it.
According to the NCERT syllabus for Classes 11 and 12, NEET UG 2025 is expected to take place in May 2025 and cover topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology) in an offline (pen and paper) format. The exam has 200 questions (180 of which must be answered) and is worth 720 marks.
Students must be enrolled in or have already finished their 10+2 or equivalent exam, with English, physics, chemistry, and biology/biotechnology as core subjects. NEET is mandatory for both All India Quota (AIQ) and state-level seats, as well as for medical admissions abroad.
