Basic Numbers in Numerology
There are many different numbers in numerology, but we will focus on the most important ones, which are often used for self-analysis and self-discovery:
Life Path Number (also known as Master Number): This is the most important number, representing the path you will take in life, the lessons you need to learn and your life purpose.
Soul Number: This number reveals your deepest desires, your true motivations and what you value most.
Personality Number: This number shows how you present yourself to the outside world, the impression you make on others and how you interact with people.
Destiny Number (also known as Mission Number): This number represents the talents, skills and potentials that you can develop to achieve success in life.
What are the bases for calculating numerology numbers?
The philosopher Pythagoras - the father of Numerology - believed that there is a close relationship between the name and date of birth of each person. Through these numbers, we can discover the nature of each person. Numerology numbers were also born based on this basis.
According to many research experts, each person's life will be influenced by a number of multiples, including life path number, mission, soul, attitude, personality and natural ability. Through these numbers, you will know your personality, strengths, limitations, talents and the lessons you have to go through in life.
How to Calculate Basic Numerology Numbers
To calculate these numbers, we use the Pythagorean method, one of the most popular numerology systems.
1. Life Path Number
Step 1: Write down your full date of birth in the format day/month/year.
Step 2: Add all the digits in your date of birth together.
Step 3: If the result is a two-digit number, continue adding those two digits together until you get a single number between 1 and 9 (or 11, 22 if the result is these two special numbers).
2. Soul Number
Step 1: Write down your full name.
Step 2: Convert the vowels (A, E, I, O, U) in your name to their corresponding numbers according to the following table:
A = 1, E = 5, I = 9, O = 6, U = 3
Step 3: Add all the numbers corresponding to the vowels in your name together.
Step 4: Reduce the result to a single digit from 1 to 9 (or 11, 22) as in calculating the Life Path Number.
3. Personality Number
Step 1: Write your full name.
Step 2: Convert the consonants in your name to their corresponding numbers according to the following table:
B, F, P, V = 2
C, G, L, S = 3
D, M, T = 4
H, N, X = 5
J, Q, Y = 7
K = 8
R = 9
Step 3: Add all the numbers corresponding to the consonants in your name together.
Step 4: Reduce the result to a single digit from 1 to 9 (or 11, 22) as in calculating the Life Path Number.
4. Destiny Number
Step 1: Write your full name.
Step 2: Convert all the letters in your name to their corresponding numbers according to the Pythagorean alphabet.
Step 3: Add all the numbers corresponding to the letters in your name together.
Step 4: Reduce the result to a single digit from 1 to 9 (or 11, 22) as the Life Path Number calculation method.
